Landslide Threat Looms Over 50 Divisional Secretariat Divisions in Sri Lanka’s 9 Districts

The National Building Research Organization has issued a landslide warning to 50 regional secretariats in nine districts due to the continued heavy rain in many parts of the island today (21).Sri Lanka Latest News

According to the announcement, the first level announcement has been issued for Haldummulla, Badulla, Haputale Hali Ala and Ella regional secretariat divisions in Badulla district, the first level announcement for Padukka regional secretariat division in Colombo district and the second level announcement for Sitawaka regional secretariat division.

The National Building Research Organization says that the landslide warning announcement issued on the 21st evening will remain in effect until 4.00 pm on the 22nd.
