A senior official of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said that it has been decided to increase the water charges from September 1.
Accordingly, the water tariff will be increased by 70 to 90 percent and the service fee will be increased by a higher percentage, said the official.
The official said that he did his best to implement the increase in water charges in such a way that it does not burden the people and also paid attention to the low-income earners.
