No house by the government to Gota! A new legal argument surfaced! EXCLUSIVE

Former Chief Justice Sarath N. said that former no house or any privileges could be given to former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa that are constitutionally granted to former presidents.

The former Chief Justice states that Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is not a president who has retired after completing his term of office, but that he is a president who has left the service.

The former Chief Justice is of the opinion that a President who has left the service in this way does not have any of the privileges granted by the constitution. Accordingly, Sarath N. said that Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa does not have any of the privileges including the official residences that the former presidents are entitled to by the constitution.

Mr. Silva’s position. It has also been learned that the President informed the former President about this during the telephone conversation between President Ranil Wickramasinghe and the former President.
