Former President Maithripala Sirisena mentions that the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna supported him when he contested the 2015 presidential election as a common candidate and that he respects them for that. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
He also said that although they did not hold the post of minister in that good governance government, the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna supported the government in many matters.
