Sri Lanka Weather Update: Mainly Rainless Conditions, Fog Expected in Western and Sabaragamuwa Provinces
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Meteorological Department has forecast mainly rainless weather across many parts of the island, with foggy conditions anticipated in certain areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces during the morning hours.

Following a recent warning issued regarding hot weather conditions, it is anticipated that temperatures will soar, particularly in the Western and Southern provinces along with the Ratnapura district, leading to intensified heat levels.

In light of these forecasts, the Meteorological Department advises individuals working outdoors to stay hydrated, seek shade whenever possible, and take adequate rest breaks. Special attention is urged for the elderly and those with health concerns, while children should not be left unattended in vehicles.

Furthermore, the department encourages individuals engaged in outdoor activities to minimize strenuous exertion, remain in shaded areas, and ensure sufficient water intake.
