Although former President Mahinda Rajapaksa participated in this meeting presided over by the President, it has become a special incident which a large number of MPs from Pohottuwa did not participate.
Accordingly, it is reported that Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapakse has taken steps to bring this situation to the President’s attention.
The Deputy Speaker has pointed out that it is a serious problem that the participation of MPs in the meetings of MPs is minimal.
It is reported that the Deputy Speaker has informed the President that the matter should be investigated immediately and necessary measures should be taken.
