The SLPP has reportedly submitted a list of names of several MPs who are suitable to hold Ministerial posts from the party in an all-party government, to President Ranil Wickremesinghe, the Mawbima newspaper reports.

General Secretary of the party Sagara Kariyawasam said that the number of Ministerial positions in an all-party government should be very low and members of the SLPP should also be included.

He further said that a major responsibility of an all-party government is assigned to the pohottuwa and it is the party’s responsibility to fulfill those responsibilities and serve the people.

Accordingly, Prasanna Ranatunga, Janaka Bandara Thennakoon, Johnston Fernando, Rohitha Abeygunawardena, C.B. Ratnayake, Pavitra Wanniarachchi, S. M. Chandrasena, Namal Rajapaksa, Ramesh Pathirana, Bandula Gunawardena, Sanath Nishantha and Kanchana Wijesekera are reportedly in the list of MPs submitted to the President.
