The sister of opposition leader Sajith Premadasa was summoned to the CID today to make a statement in connection with the ongoing investigation into the torching of President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private residence.
Dulanjalee Premadasa the sister of opposition leader journalists after giving a statement that she was near the then-prime minister’s house at the time of the incident and that the CID had asked her to provide a statement to help with the investigations.
Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private residence in Colombo’s 5th lane was set ablaze on July 9th, following the incidents that occurred after protestors stormed several government institutions, including the President’s house in Colombo 1.
