A delegation of representatives from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will arrive in Sri Lanka tonight to begin a week-long visit focused on evaluating the country’s recent economic performance and progress on ongoing reforms.
The visit was confirmed by the Ministry of Finance, which stated that the representatives would be in Sri Lanka until January 17th.
Their primary goal is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the country’s economic trajectory.
Furthermore, the Ministry stated that IMF representatives have expressed an interest in meeting with key officials such as the President, Prime Minister, Finance Minister, and Central Bank officials.
