Based on the removal of security guards from the development works of the Mihindu Maha Saya, which was being built in the historic Mihintalea Rajamaha Viharaya, a Mihindu Maha Saya Abiyasa Adhisthana Pooja was also held today.
This pooja was performed with the presence of the venerable Maha Sangharatna and the participation of a large number of devotees as advised by the Reverend Valahangunavewe Dhammarathana Nahimipi, Mihinthalaya Raja Maha Vihara.
Here, the presbyter gave an exhortation,
“In 2019, the construction of the Mihindu Maha Sai, which was started with the approval of the Trinikaika Mahana Theras and the Executive Presidents and the Department of Archaeology, has been stopped today, but it is stated in the Mahavansa of the inscriptions that the kings of the king’s day have given respect and sacredness to all and worked for the Buddhist religion by giving state orders and orders.
The people of the country should know that the governors who are unable to answer the announcement given by the Honorable Mahana Theras in writing to the President are deaf and dumb and have no feelings or emotions. In the pujas held for Lord Buddha and Mihidu Maharahat, the sound offering made by the civil defence has also stopped.”
