Question- There is some thought that the “Justice” program will be stopped.?
Answer- We have never taken such a decision. Those who obstruct the justice program say so. Underworld and drug trafficking in the country will be completely stopped in the next six months. No matter who interferes, I will do the work.
Q. There are a lot of underworld members in Dubai. What action will be taken against them?
Answer- Most of the underworld members are in Dubai. In addition, the program to arrest members of the underworld in France and other countries continues. We have even obtained red warrants from the court to arrest them. We have received information about 29 underworld members currently in Dubai and one underworld member in France. Negotiations are going on with the relevant countries to bring them to this country. But with the legal conditions in those countries, some time is spent on those activities.
Question- Can you give a guarantee that the underworld and drug trafficking in the country will be completely eradicated in the next six months?
Answer- We cannot guarantee that it will be 100% removed. I do not think that there is such a situation in any country in the world but makes a big difference. As long as I am in this country, I will take the maximum possible measures against the underworld and drug trafficking. I can vouch for that.
Minister of State Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Members of Parliament Milan Jayathilaka, Sumit Udukumbura, Tissa Kuttiarachchi, Kumarasiri Ratnayake, Rajika Wickramasinghe, Manjula Dissanayake and Muditha Prasanti participated in this event.
