Headed by President Ranil Wickremesinghe, a high-level delegation consisting of about 80 representatives including Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabri, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera, Minister of Environment Keheliya Rambukwella, Presidential Adviser on Climate Change Ruwan Wijewardena, and four members of parliament will be at the United Nations next week. The technical delegation includes negotiators and 15 ministry officials.
Private sector organizations are Sri Lanka’s largest-ever group of 20 youth delegates and Sri Lanka’s delegation is reported to be the largest group of climate summit representatives.
