The University of Jaffna and the Tamil political parties in the north have announced a Mahaviru Samaru Week, and this ‘Mahaviru Samaru Ulela’ has been held on the occasion of its inauguration day.
The Mahaviru Samaru week organized by them will end on November 27.
Courts in the north have issued orders to arrest the people organizing the Mahaviru commemoration ceremony and the people participating in it, but so far not a single person has been arrested by the security forces.
