Seven Tamil political parties in the north have decided to hold a full hartal on the 20th of this month across the north and east. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

This decision was taken in a special discussion held on the 9th at Selwa Hall in Jaffna.

This hartal is based on seven main issues affecting the people of the North Eastern Provinces including the resignation of the Mullaitivu Magistrate.

On this day, Tamil political parties have demanded that all the shops in the north-eastern areas should be closed, travel activities should be stopped and schools should be stopped.

It has also been decided in this discussion that government offices and banks should support this full hartal.

When this hartal was scheduled to be held on the 13th of this month, the date of the hartal was postponed indefinitely due to the objections of several Tamil political parties to the decisions taken earlier.

In this discussion held at Selva Hall in Jaffna, Ilankei Tamil Arusu Katchi Party leader Mawei Senadhiraja, Tamil Janata Alliance President Vigneswaran, PLOT organization leader Dharmalingam Siddharthan, EPRLF organization leader Suresh Premachandran, Tamil National Party leader Sri Kantha, Secretary Sivajilingam were present. , representatives of many people’s organizations including Vendan, Chairman of the Democratic Fighters Party and Tavisalar Nirosh for the Telo organization were present.
