Mr. Dissanayake said that the Dallas team had requested time from his party for a discussion for a short period of time, and the time was given accordingly.
Joining a televised conversation, Mr. Dissanayake said that he would not have given time to Mr. Alahapperuma if he had asked for an opportunity to discuss the presidential election or the creation of a front related to it.
He said that in that discussion, only the repressive program of the government and the non-holding of elections were discussed.
Mr. Dissanayake also pointed out that holding discussions does not mean staying with them.
This questioning took place in connection with the recent discussion between the JVP and the JVP party headquarters.
