An investigation has been started regarding the death of a patient while receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital while being given an antibiotic. Sri Lanka Latest News
The Deputy Director General of Health Services stated that the use of the drug was suspended until then.
The deceased patient was transferred from Warakapola Hospital to the National Hospital with cuts and he died while 50% of the antibiotic was given.
Relatives of the deceased said that he was brought to the hospital due to a cut and he did not have any other ailment.

“He was brought to the hospital with a wound on his hand. Called 1 too and said there was no problem. My father passed away after the operation. There are no other diseases. mother country Me and my brother and sister, father took care of us for so long.”

“There are facts that this death was probably due to drug allergy. So far, the drugs of this category of drugs have been stopped from being given to patients in hospitals all over the island.”
