Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga has been given a written notice by an advisor to the Sports Minister to resign immediately from the post of Chairman of the National Sports Council.
It is reported that the relevant notification was made yesterday (29).
Although the National Sports Council was scheduled to meet at 2.00 pm yesterday, it is stated that none of the members of the National Sports Council have participated through Zoom technology.
It is stated in the letter addressed to Mr. Arjuna Ranatunga by the secretary that he should not be surprised and that we all will no longer accept you as the chairman of the National Sports Council.
