Mr. Vijitha Herath stated that, despite holding the position of Police Minister, he has never used security vehicles for an escort, either in front or behind.
He pointed out that after Mr. Sagala Ratnayake, who had been at home following his election loss, assumed the role of security advisor to President Ranil, around six Defender vehicles were assigned for his protection.
Mr. Herath emphasized that this is no longer the case today, adding that he does not grant unnecessary privileges to anyone.
