All Members of Parliament (MPs) are required to submit their asset declarations to the Speaker by June 30. However, reports indicate that fifty-six MPs have yet to fulfill this obligation.
To date, five reminder letters have been sent to the MPs who have not yet submitted their asset liability statements.
The Speaker has forwarded the asset declarations of those MPs who have complied to the Commission of Inquiry investigating allegations of bribery or corruption.
MPs who fail to submit their asset and liability statements within the specified timeframe will incur a fine, calculated as a percentage of their salary.
