Dallas Alahapperuma, the leader of the People’s Freedom Council, has alleged that a staggering 720 million rupees of public funds have been squandered due to the deliberate postponement of local government elections, which were initially scheduled 22 months ago.
Highlighting the gravity of this as a criminal offense, Alahapperuma announced his intention to initiate legal action against President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
In a formal statement addressing this issue, Alahapperuma outlined his concerns and emphasized the need for accountability.
