SJB Candidate Charith Abeysinghe Highlights Ideological Clash within Government Over Recent Appointments
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

SJB candidate Charith Abeysinghe highlighted an ideological clash between the JVP and the National Intelligence Unit (NIU), the core of the compass in Sri Lanka’s political landscape.

Abeysinghe emphasized that this ideological tension is surfacing through two recent appointments made by the President. He pointed out that Duminda Hulangamuwa embodies a neo-liberal stance, while Professor Anil Jayantha represents a left-leaning perspective.

Abeysinghe raised the question of which viewpoint the President would ultimately support if a conflict were to arise between these opposing ideologies.
