President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced his decision to revoke all politically-appointed positions within the foreign service.
Reports indicate that many of these appointments were given to individuals with close ties to former ministers, often lacking diplomatic experience, and chosen primarily due to their political connections.
In line with this, the President plans to cancel all such appointments in the coming days and recall the appointees back to Sri Lanka
