Former Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera has accused Dudley Sirisena of spreading falsehoods regarding rice prices. He stated that rice has been sold below the controlled price until now and claimed that Sirisena’s assertion about rice being available at the controlled price is misleading. Amaraweera noted that as a result of these statements, rice prices are now increasing towards the controlled price. He urged the President to remain vigilant against such misinformation.
