The public has decisively acted to reject Members of Parliament originally elected under the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) banner who later aligned with former President Ranil Wickremesinghe to secure ministerial positions and privileges.
As a result, prominent figures including Rajitha Senaratne, Harin Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara, Vadivel Suresh, and Velukumar have faced defeat in this election.
