M. Ilangei of the Tamil Arasu Katchi Party has confirmed his candidacy for the next general election, representing the party’s symbol. This announcement was made by Mr. Sumanthiran.
He also indicated that a decision regarding women’s representation in each district will be made in the future.
Mr. Sumanthiran noted that the preparation of nomination lists is still underway, as a decision must be reached concerning the candidates for the Trincomalee and Ampara districts.
He made these statements to the media following a meeting of the nomination committee for the Ilangei Tamil Arasu Katchi Party.
