Women’s Asia Cup 2022, Semi-Final 2: PAK-W vs SL-

The semi-finals of the Women Asia Cup 2022 between Sri Lanka and Pakistan today at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium,today

In the round robin matches, Sri Lanka beat UAE, Thailand, Malaysia and the crucial game against Bangladesh to qualify for the semi-finals, despite losing to Pakistan. 

The Sri Lanka Women’s team has performed well as a team despite star performer and skipper Chamari Atapattu off-colour from her usual performance as she scored just 86 runs on six innings in this tourney. However, her team mate Hasharatha Madhavi, inclusive of scoring a half a century had scored 166 runs in six innings.

Sri Lanka’s strong bowling attack led by striker bowler Inoka Ranaweera who with 10 wickets in six games leads the highest number of scalps in the tourney, is also expected to play a crucial role in the upcoming semi-final.
