Saman Halloluwa is a renowned wildlife photographer whose passion lies in capturing the untamed beauty of nature. With a camera slung over his shoulder, Saman prefers the freedom of the jungle, tirelessly pursuing animals to immortalize them through his lens.
But Saman’s creative talents extend beyond photography. His hands are equally skilled with a brush, bringing vivid and unconventional artworks to life. This dual mastery of mediums has made him a unique figure in the art world.
A showcase of Saman’s artistic flair, titled “Amuthu Art” (Strange Art), is set to open at 4:00 PM on the 20th at the Lionel Wendt Art Gallery, Colombo 07. The exhibition will run on the 21st and 22nd from 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM, offering a glimpse into his extraordinary artistic journey.
Saman’s “Amuthu Art” defies traditional norms, featuring around 40 distinctive works. These include abstracts, landscapes, finger paintings, and scenes that step beyond conventional frames. Several pieces have already been sold, reflecting the unique appeal of his art.
“This collection showcases paintings that break away from tradition. From abstracts to finger art and landscapes, each piece represents a different perspective. I warmly invite everyone to experience this journey through my strange and wonderful creations,” Saman says, extending an open invitation to all art enthusiasts.
