It is reported that the working committee meeting of Samagi Jana Balavegaya held yesterday under the chairmanship of opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa has taken a heated turn. Sri Lanka Latest News

That is when the MPs started commenting on the new alliance to be formed with SJB at the forefront.

Here, almost all the MPs have indicated to the Leader of the Opposition that the President is very afraid of the formation of this alliance, and for that reason, various contracts have been handed over to certain people to prevent the formation of the alliance.

These MPs who have said that the people of the government have understood that this new alliance will win whatever election is held in the future, therefore they have pointed out to the leader of the opposition that this alliance must be formed.

These MPs have indicated to the Leader of the Opposition that if anyone comments against it, strict decisions should be taken against all of them, and such persons should be expelled from the party regardless of their rank.

It is reported that while Mr S. M.  Marikkar and Mr Sujeewa Senasinghe commented on this, all the other MPs have commented in favour of it.

Accordingly, the leader of the opposition who has finally expressed his opinion has stated that he will form the alliance and if anyone acts against it, he is ready to take tough decisions from now on.

Also, if there is anyone against the new alliance, the working committee has been informed to raise their hands, and it is noted that none of the MPs have raised their hands against it.

Accordingly, the working committee has also taken steps to hand over all the decision-making power for the formation of the alliance to Mr Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition.
