The opposition leader says that he was on the right side in the issue of burial and even though WHO had approved the burial, the government appointed a fake committee and abolished the cultural and religious rights of the Islamic people. (Sri Lanka Latest News)

Even though some of the leaders who wear tie-coats and claim that they are not racist, they do not have a proper backbone and when the Muslim people are facing this, they keep silent, only the Samagi Jana Balawega and the Samagi Jana Sandanha have taken to the streets against it. The opposition leader further said that legal action will be taken against all those involved in the illegal act and compensation will be given to the aggrieved party. He mentioned this while addressing the public rally held at Addalachchen, Akkarepattu for the 2024 presidential election.

The opposition leader who spoke there said that the good qualities of Samurdhi Janasaviya Gamidiri and Aswasuma programs will be added to the poverty alleviation program a new program will be launched and poverty will be eradicated within 2 years by giving 20000 rupees per month to a poor family within 24 months.
