Professor G.L. said that even though the date of distribution of postal ballots has changed, the date of holding elections will not change. Mr. Peiris said.
He said this while attending the news conference of the Free People’s Alliance today (15).
He also pointed out that they will defend the people’s sovereignty by defeating the government’s attempt to postpone the elections by showing false reasons.
He said that the government is trying to postpone the elections not because of lack of money, but because it does not have the votes.
