The Governor of the Central Bank said that inflation in Sri Lanka is expected to be maintained at an average value between 4 and 6 per cent in the future and due to this, the market interest rates have been allowed to adjust in some way.
He said that our interest rate has become stable and will be reconsidered in the future. He also said that until then we will maintain the policy interest rate unchanged.
Central Bank Governor Dr Nandalal Weerasinghe said so in a press conference held at the Central Bank.
