The United National Party says that it is ready to face the upcoming local government elections together with all parties related to the government.
Party General Secretary Palitha Range Bandara mentioned that a discussion is scheduled to be held today (08) with the leaders of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.
Mr. Palitha Rangebandara stated that a group including the Secretary General of the United National Party, the Chairman and the National Organizer are going to participate in the discussion.
An inquiry was made to Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in this regard and one of its seniors said that a special discussion will be held today (08) with the leaders of the United National Party regarding the local government elections.
He stated that he will focus on creating a new alliance targeting the upcoming local government elections.
