Violence Erupts in Los Angeles as US Cracks Down on Illegal Immigrants Under Trump Policy
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

According to foreign media reports, the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has commenced widespread operations to arrest illegal immigrants across the country, in line with a policy directive issued by U.S. President Donald Trump.

The operations reportedly began in Los Angeles on Friday and continued into Saturday, during which security forces successfully apprehended 44 undocumented individuals.

These actions have sparked renewed debate over the extent of authority exercised by federal immigration officers and the legal rights of undocumented immigrants.

As news of the raids rapidly circulated on social media, widespread opposition has emerged from various groups. What began as public protests has now escalated into violent confrontations. Reports indicate that demonstrators have resorted to setting vehicles ablaze and vandalizing property in response to the immigration enforcement actions.

In an effort to quell the unrest, the Los Angeles Police Department has resorted to using tear gas to disperse the crowds and restore order.
