It is reported that the Minister of Transport of Singapore, who has been accused of corruption, has sent his resignation letter to the Prime Minister today. Sri Lanka Latest News

Singapore’s Transport Minister was of an Indian origin named Eswaran.

He was arrested last July and later released on bail.

However, the case against him was called yesterday and after appearing in the case, S. Eswaran has forwarded his resignation letter to the Prime Minister.

27 charges have been levelled against him. One of the main accusations is to get some tickets to watch a Formula One race from a billionaire businessman living in Singapore.

On the same day that Transport Minister S.Eswaran was arrested, the billionaire businessman who bribed him was also arrested by the Singapore police.

S. Eswaryan, who strongly denies the allegations against him, has said that now all that is left for him to do is to clear his name.

Singapore is one of the first countries in the world without corrupt politicians.

To keep politics away from bribery and corruption in Singapore, foreign media reports that the country’s politicians are given the highest salaries in the world.
