Vietnam’s former health minister was sentenced to 18 years in prison! For requesting a 2.2 million dollar bribe to import antigens during Corona! Sri Lanka Latest  News

The Vietnamese government has decided to strictly implement the law against many health officials, including the former health minister. Sri Lanka Latest News

The accusation levelled against them is that during the COVID-19 epidemic, the test kits related to COVID testing were purchased at a high price.

The Vietnamese government has taken measures to strictly enforce the law against the businessmen involved in that smuggling. Accordingly, the businessman involved in this fraud has been sentenced to twenty-nine years in prison.

Former Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long was sentenced to eighteen years in prison.

The accusation levelled against him is that he intervened in the process of purchasing Covid test kits and received a bribe of 2.2 million US dollars from the relevant companies.

The former health minister has admitted that he received the money but said it was not a bribe, but a gift he received.
