US President Biden strongly condemns Hitler admirers globally
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

US President Joe Biden issued a very clear condemnation of Hitler-admirers around the world, declaring sternly in a Tweet that “Hitler was a demonic figure… Silence is complicity”.

“I just want to make a few things clear: The Holocaust happened. Hitler was a demonic figure. And instead of giving it a platform, our political leaders should be calling out and rejecting antisemitism wherever it hides. Silence is complicity”, Biden Tweeted late Friday.

Biden’s clear statement came in the wake of controversial rapper Kanye West saying in a series of much-publicised interviews that “I see good things about Hitler”, “I like Hitler” and “I love Nazis”.

German Fuhrer (“Leader”) Adolf Hitler caused World War II, the largest conflict in human history that raged from 1939-45, which led to the deaths of an estimated 70 million people and the complete devastation of Europe, Asia and parts of Africa.

Instead of giving Germany mastery of the world, he left the country in complete and utter ruin, doomed to a partition for nearly half a century as West Germany and the communist-ruled East Germany. Hitler killed himself in a bunker in Berlin as the German capital was being torn apart by the armies of the Soviet Union.

Hip Hop artist West’s public admiration of Hitler has led to several global brands severing ties with the star, including sports goods maker Adidas, clothing brand GAP and fashion company Balenciaga, which West said has lost him billions of dollars in business partnerships. In addition, Twitter has suspended West’s account.
