Minister Prasanna Ranatunga, who was rumerourd to have expressed his readiness to join the United National Party on social media, attended the Pohottuwa meeting in Puttalam this morning.
This rally was organized at the place where the house of State Minister Sanath Nishantha was destroyed by the activists on May 9th.
Before participating in the public rally, the minister also engaged in a special discussion with Deputy Speaker Ajith Rajapaksa, State Minister Sanath Nishantha, former ministers Gamini Lokage, Namal Rajapakse, MPs Madhura Withanage, Sampath Athukorala and others.
After going to the venue of the meeting, the minister will return to Colombo to participate in the party leaders’ meeting which will be held today (27) in the Parliament.
