UNP Ordered to Launch Major Media Campaign Against Sajith Premadasa: Report

The Mawrata newspaper has learned that instructions have been issued from the top ranks of the United National Party to immediately launch a large-scale media campaign targeting Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.

Accordingly, orders were reportedly conveyed last week from senior United National Party officials to a group of journalists, social media activists loyal to the party, and leaders of several opposition political parties to initiate a propaganda campaign against Sajith Premadasa.

It is also reported that instructions have been given to ensure extensive coverage of the campaign across national media outlets and social media platforms.

Sources further revealed that these directives were issued following the failure of the recent conference held in Matara under the patronage of the United National Party.

Meanwhile, it has already been observed that a social media operator loyal to the United National Party has begun launching attacks against Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa through his YouTube channel.
