United National Party Secretary General, former Member of Parliament Mr. Range Bandara has purchased a 15 acre land in Madurankuliya area of Puttalam, but the Criminal Investigation Department has started an investigation in this regard after it was revealed that the related deeds were fake.
Accordingly, the Criminal Investigation Department has arrested a retired deputy director of the Central Environment Authority on suspicion.
It is said that this suspect, a resident of Malambe area, has forged a deed for 20 acres and mortgaged it to the bank and obtained 47 lakhs.
15 acres of the 20 acres of land has been sold to Mr. Range Bandara.
