The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka announces a comprehensive one-day workshop on Export Procedures & Documentation: “Unlocking International Markets”, scheduled for Thursday, 24 October 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the National Chamber Auditorium, 450, D R Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

Designed for both new and experienced staff, this workshop offers a deep dive into the latest procedures and documentation will be conducted by an expert in the field of Exports & imports, Mr. T Raviendrarajah, Former Director of Customs with over 37 years of experience at Sri Lanka Customs. Participants will gain invaluable insights into the latest procedures and day-to-day tasks related to exports.

Key workshop topics would cover: Introduction to Exporting, Export Readiness Assessment, Market Research and Selection, Export Strategy Development, Compliance and Legal Requirements, Product Preparation and Packaging, Pricing and Invoicing, Export Documentation, Export Financing and Payment Methods, Role of Freight Forwarders in Exports, The Vital Role of Freight Forwarders in Export Logistics, Optimizing Logistics and Physical Distribution Activities for Enhanced Supply Chain Efficiency- Introduction to Authorized Economic, Operator(AEO)  Programme, Brief Overview of Customs Export Declaration Processing, Concise overview of Port Procedures, Enhancing International Trade  Efficiency through Customs  Privileged Facilities, Overview of  the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA)       

This workshop is tailored for Supervisors, Managers, Executives and all categories of staff engaged in export-oriented organisations to provide an ideal refresher program. Each participant will receive a certificate of participation upon completion.
