Following discussions between university vice-chancellors and the University Grant Commission (UGC), a decision has been taken to re-open all universities in September, UGC Chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said.
He said the decision was taken by the UGC. Accordingly, all academic activities, including exams in all universities, will function as usual by the end of September, he said.
The students who are unable to attend lectures will be able to participate online, according to Prof. Amaratunga.
