Mr. Udaya Gammanpila, leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya, announced his willingness to release two reports related to the Easter attack that have not yet been made public.

An undisclosed Sub-Inspector (SI) involved in the Easter attack investigation, SI Imam, along with A.N.J. Alwis, confirmed that they received the two reports by mail on the 10th of this month.

Gammanpila also mentioned that Cabinet Media Spokesperson Vijitha Herath, during a recent cabinet meeting, commented on the delayed publication of these reports. According to Herath, the President has been given a week to release the documents.

At a press conference, Gammanpila criticized the President for visiting the Katuwapitiya church without bringing the two unreleased reports, arguing that they should have been presented during the visit.

The report from the committee led by SI Imam was completed on June 24-25, 2024, while the report chaired by retired judge A.N.J. Alwis was handed over to the former President on September 14, 2024, Gammanpila added.
