A plane carrying humanitarian aid from the United Arab Emirates arrived in Sri Lanka this morning (02) to support those affected by the ongoing disaster, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
The donation consists of a consignment of relief items, including food supplies and tents.
The aid was officially handed over by Rashed Ali Al Mazrouei, the Second Secretary of the UAE Embassy in Colombo, to Sewwandi de Silva, Director (Middle East) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Major General Sumedha Wijekoon; and Captain Daminda Rambukwella, Director General and CEO of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka.
