Two individuals travelling in a car were reportedly shot near the public market in Kandana this morning (03), according to Sri Lanka Police.
A statement issued by the Police Media Division confirmed that both victims sustained injuries in the shooting and were subsequently admitted to Ragama Hospital for treatment.
One of the injured has been identified as Sameera Manahara, who previously served as the private secretary to the late former Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
