Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, two circulars that had been issued giving the opportunity to civil servants in staff ranks to wear comfortable clothes while at work in the offices have been cancelled.
Accordingly, Public Administration Circular 13/2019 (I) dated 6 June 2019 and 2022 Sep. State Administration Circular Letter 05/2022 dated 27th to be canceled with immediate effect, Ministry of State Administration Secretary M.M.P.K. Mayadunna said.
However, he added that the Public Administration Circular 8/89 dated 01.02.1989 issued regarding uniform and other circulars applicable to the uniforms of the Government officers to whom uniforms are prescribed shall continue to be valid.
