Two Opposition Members in Car Accidents: MP Dylan Perera Injured, Rishad Badiuddin’s Vehicle Damaged

MP Dylan Perera was involved in a car accident while en route to a meeting in Matugama on July 13. The incident occurred near the 82/1 kilometre post of the Southern Expressway when the vehicle skidded on the wet road and collided with the highway’s safety fence.

One person accompanying MP Perera sustained injuries in the accident.

In a separate incident, former minister Rishad Badiuddin’s car also had an accident in the Karuwalagaswewa area. The collision occurred when trying to avoid a cyclist, who the car veered off the road.

The Karuwalagaswewa Police are investigating the details of the incident.
