The death toll from the bus accident that occurred near the 24th milepost on the Ella–Wellawaya road has now risen to 15, according to Sri Lanka Latest News.
In a striking coincidence, exactly 23 years ago, at the very same location and around the same time, another bus overturned, claiming the lives of 21 people.
