Two female students lost their lives, and 35 others sustained injuries when a bus overturned near the 4th pillar area on Dunhinda Road in Badulla.
According to our correspondent, the bus involved in the accident belonged to Kotelawala Defence University and was carrying 41 passengers, including a group of students on a field trip.
All injured individuals have been admitted to Badulla General Hospital for treatment.
