A group of leaders and delegates representing the major trade unions met the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa yesterday (17) regarding labor rights and ordinances.
Further securing and empowering labor rights was also discussed here and the union leaders said that a social discourse should be created about this program.
The leader of the opposition said that it should be taken beyond a social discourse to a social consensus. Through this, the rights of workers should be secured and advocated for.
