Threatened and pressured to sign! Kanchana is prepared to file a lawsuit against the Human Rights Commission!

Power and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that he will take legal action against the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission.

The minister said this in a tweet.

The Minister says that he has come to know that two members of the Commission have threatened the officials of the Electricity Board who were called before the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission to discuss the disconnection of electricity during the high school.

The minister said that the two officials of the Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission threatened the officials who had come to represent the Electricity Board and tried to get them to sign a letter that they did not agree with. says the tweet.

The minister says that he will take legal action against the relevant officials of the Human Rights Commission regarding this matter.

1) I was informed by Sec Min of Power & Energy that the officials that took part in the discussion with Human Rights Commision has informed that they had been pressurized to sign 2 documents that they did not agree by 2 members of HRC & was threatened with jail sentences.
